What an exciting Adventure Group outing we had this weekend in Cave In Rock / Garden of the Gods. A big thank you to the members who attended this weekend. Thank you very much for all you did to make this weekend such a great time !! We had a little of everything to shoot for subjects including, but not limited to interesting landscapes, macro, textures, celestial night shots, fire orbs, river scenes, and a quaint small American town. If you weren't able to attend the event we missed you, if you did attend I hope you enjoyed yourself and got some images you like.

This is a bit late, but I was having "technical difficulties"!
Brent, Jeanette, and I would like to thank the hearty souls that showed up Saturday morning for the Adventure Group Pow Wow outing. The morning turned out to be a bit soggy, but the event was very colorful once they got started. We had ten members show up for the outing on September 26. Apparently, the Native Americans overdid it on the rain dance! The rain stopped long enough to hold the Grand Entrance, and the rain was spotty for the duration. Despite the weather, the group was able to get some very good shots. Thanks to everyone who came out for tonight's Adventure Group Outing at the Downtown Presbyterian Church. We had 21 members participate in the shoot. The church is quite a unique piece of Nashville history as we learned tonight. Our guide was wonderful and really shared a lot of information and facts about the church. A few of the areas we got to shoot in were the bell tower, inside the pipe organ, the artist quarters, the balcony in the chapel, and the Italian cathedral. It's the members who make this club so much fun and thanks again for supporting the Adventure Group Outings.
It was a beautiful day with some clouds early, lots of rust, and even more poison ivy. We had a great time. Thanks to Brent and Trudy Write, and Bob and Jeanette Ellis,
The Nashville Photography Club hosted the Camera Club Council of Tennessee's (3CT) Spring Fling Event this year, and by all accounts, it was a resounding success! We had over 75 members attend the 3-day event, and the weather cooperated wonderfully! A big Thanks to Byron Jorjorian for giving a wonderful Keynote presentation, and to Robert McCurley for his very informative presentation on street photography. Also, many thanks to our sponsors for providing time and prizes for our raffle and events: Nashville Photography Club Dury's Cumberland University Nashville Zoo docents PeachTree Camera Repair Miller's Lab / MPIX Tamron Think Tank On One Software Bella Art Prints H+H Color Lab Publix The photos are just a small sampling of the photos taken by the attendees, with more coming in. All photos will be submitted to 3CT and posted in the near future. Thank you to our amazing sponsors of our holiday party! Dury's Think Tank Rocky Mountain School of Photography Tiffen / Domke Black Rapid Miller's Lab / MPIX BlackStone Brewery Manfrotto Nations Photo Lab Tamron Zacuto AGI Training (American Graphics Institute) Plaza Art Lensrentals Capturing Couture We had 25+ members come out and join us for our "Afternoon of Discovery"! Randy Harris gave a very informative talk on taking sports photos, ranging from taking photos of your grandkids, to what is involved in photographing College sports. Thanks, Randy! Brent Wright gave a great presentation on how and where to shoot celestials and star trails. The talk was filled with a great deal of detail and great examples. It made me want to turn into a Night Owl! We had 3 different setups that can easily be set up at home, and folks had a chance to try out: Oil and Water Abstract, Water on Glass, and Dripping Water. Instructions can be found on our Facebook page at the NPC Member Discussion page. Thanks to everyone who attended...and I hope to see some of your shots from the setups soon! We had about 25 participants attend our January 17 Macro Workshop. Everyone brought something to share, and the creative processes began! Thanks to everyone who participated!
